The Sold Duc, derived from it’s Quileute name, means ”sparkling waters”. The Sol Duc supports some of the healthiest stocks of wild winter Steelhead in the Pacific Northwest and one of the only rivers of the Olympic Peninsula that supports all five major species of salmon. The upper Sol Duc is also a prime coho spawning stream. 

The nature of the river system is narrow, rocky and strewn with boulders. To aid in navigating such technical waters, the “Sol” uses an AIRE Super Puma as it’s base. This narrow raft allows for navigation through tight spaces, but at 13 feet long, allows for you to take two companions out on your fishing adventures. This raft package is optimal as it will work on any navigable river. It is also our most popular.

The Bogachiel is arguably the best river to catch a steelhead in Washington State. Like the Sol Duc, it is not glacially fed, and hence less sediment and better fishing. However, contrary to the Sol Duc, the Bogey is broader with less technical features. The “Bogey” is our entry level package for folks just starting out or on a budget.  We use the 13’ AIRE Tributary as it’s base and include the minimum equipment to outfit the boat for you and a pair of friends. With the wider width and moderately diminished tubes, this raft will feel more spacious than the ”Sol”.

The Skykomish is a high volume , free flowing river draining the western cascades in parts of Snohomish and King counties. The river boosts multiple steelhead runs and supports four of the five salmon species. The Sky also has opportunities for cutthroat and bull trout. Given it’s proximity to Seattle and multiple hatcheries along it’s sources, the Sky is a popular river for many types of fishermen.

The nature of this river is two-fold: Upstream of Big Eddy public access is a very technical river with house sized boulders strewn about and rapids rated up to 4+. Downstream of Big Eddy, the river meanders between large pools and cobble bars, creating lots of fishing opportunities. The “Sky“ utilizes an AIRE 136DD as it’s base. The double diminished tubes along with an upgraded sealed floor create an enhanced response for navigating these large and technically challenging waters. We’ve also added a few additional special features, sure to catch the eye of an avid fisherman.
